DevSecOps Engineer

Are you an aspiring DevSecOps afficionado? Or perhaps a talented SRE with a passionate for cyber-security?

Hurren & Hope are proud to be working with a fast growing smart city software company in London who are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join the business on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our award-winning client uses Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning to tackle congestion, air pollution, road traffic accidents and beyond. Using cutting edge technology, they are at the forefront of the smart city revolution in Europe.

The role is in their London office, with an expectation to be in the office at least a couple of times a week.

The Role

Due to the large amounts of data they collect, and the their rapid growth, security and continuous deployment for scalability are key focus areas for the business as they enter their next stage of evolution.

Our client are building out their DevOps and Security teams, and as such are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to play a key part in securing their cloud environment and implement best practices.

This is a hands on role but due to the constant exposure to senior leadership your ideas will be listened to as the role and function evolves.

We are looking for somebody who will bring an innovative, problem-solving mindset to Security and DevOps.

The Tech:

  • Cloud knowledge – either GCP, AWS, or Azure will be fine
  • Experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role
    • o Bonus points if you’ve been working in Cyber Security too
  • Infrastructure as Code experience – either CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with Kubernetes

Bonus points are available if you have skills in coding or scripting, using languages such as Python, Golang, Javascript, C++

The Person:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a DevOps role or similar
  • A problem solver
  • An interest in building a career in Artificial Intelligence, ML, IoT
  • Self-starter
  • A great communicator

This role is perfect for either an experienced DevSecOps Engineer or somebody with less experience but a passion for security and technology in general.

Our client has offices in Northwest London and are expecting at least two days in the office a week.
