Network Operatons Engineer
We are looking for a multilingual Network Operations Engineer to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing Greentech organisations to help build a brand-new Network Support team. The company has become a household name in the Greentech sector providing our services and pioneering technology to global organisations and households across Europe. Due to the business growth across the globe, they are building a brand-new global network operations team to support the global client base.
The role will see you working in a team of six delivering 1st and 2nd line support to diagnose and rectify client data, systems, and network faults such as routing, firewall security, LAN switching, WAN, mobile devices, cloud, and hosted Networks). Furthermore, you will support partner sites where required and resolving remote issues where possible or organising site visits as per client contractual SKA’s and SLA’s. Given the worldwide client base, we are looking for engineers to have strong written and verbal communication skills with at least one of the following languages; French, German, Italian or Spanish.
We are also open to speaking with graduates that hold strong Computer Science (or similar) academic credentials with either a 2.1 or higher and are able to demonstrate a grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP etc.) and either Unix/Windows/Linux systems. Any engineers that can display experience with cloud systems (AWS, Azure, or IBM), virtualisation tools (Hyper-V, VMWare or Xen) and monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus or Xmatters) will be highly encouraged to apply as this enliven the hiring managers! Not only are we looking for a strong technical background, but a proactive mindset with a passion to grow within a tech environment is needed… passion and drive are valued more than time spent!
The role is based in the company’s HQ in Suffolk, and you will be required to work 12-hour shifts (4 days on/4 days off within a team covering a 24×7 period. The company is offering a generous starting salary of up to £40,000 with a generous benefits package.
