Development Manager

Development Manager – Fully Remote
Hurren & Hope are proud to be working with a leading Cybersecurity organisation delivering Cloud based solutions to organisations across the globe.
They are continuing to scale their operations within the Development, Engineering & Test teams.
This opportunity is for a Development Manager to join an existing team supporting and extending a successful portfolio of products, as well as new projects that are in the pipeline. This role will also invovle mentoring a small team, running performance reviews, and helping to shape and implement best practices to set the team up for success.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a small team of developers – contributing to a culture of collaboration & innovation
  • Lending a hand in recruiting for your team
  • Mentoring team members – running regular performance reviews to highlight areas of training and development
  • Working on strategising for further product features & new products
  • Setting best practice when it comes to tools, frameworks & documentation
  • Working closely with senior leadership

You will play a key part in pushing the best practices, lending advice on methodology i.e. Agile whilst developing your team’s skills.
What we’ll need from you:

  • Experience in a Development Manager role OR a Senior Developer role coupled with experience mentoring, and leading
  • Previous software engineering experience, ideally with C, C++
  • A passion for mentoring, developing staff and the ability to be a leader
  • Experience working remotely / leading remote teams
  • Strong software engineering principles


  • Cloud knowledge – Azure or AWS
  • DevOps experience
  • Experience in cyber-security
