Finance Manager

Hurren and Hope are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established client of theirs based in Ipswich on a full-time, permanent basis, paying an annual salary of £50,000 – £55,000. You will be reporting directly to the Finance Director and supervising the day-to-day operations of their busy finance department.

Responsibilities this Finance Manager role include:

  • Review incoming reports, assisting with yearly projects, completing year-end company reports and reconcile income reports
  • Ensuring all information held is accurate and kept up to date, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring they are presented to management monthly
  • Supporting the Finance Director with annual audits, assist with audit queries, ensure financial systems and internal controls are maintained and seek continuous improvements within the finance department
  • Ensure the cash flows are completed on time, analyse forecast movements in cash and assist with all management queries
  • Ensure VAT, ABTA and CAA returns are completed and submitted on time, provide guidance where necessary and ensure monthly commissions calculations are undertaken on time
  • Review monthly debt reports and liaising with the Credit Control and Purchase Ledger team
  • Undertake additional duties when required

Experience, Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Fully Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Previous proven experience in managing a team
  • Confident in working with numbers and able to analyse figures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
