Here at Hurren and Hope I head up the Core Services division, specialising in Sales and Marketing within the Tech industry, for both start-ups and well established organisations.
I started my career in recruitment back in 2017 as an administrator. Quickly after, I found a passion in speaking with candidates, building working relationships and supporting them with their job search. Building my way up into a consultant role, and working closely with clients as well as candidates, I’m 100% committed to provide a positive, smooth and trustworthy experience.
In my spare time you’ll find me at the pub socialising with friends, spending time with family or planning my wedding!
I’m always open to connecting with individuals – whether that be to discuss your job search, if you’re looking for advice, or just a friendly confidential chat! Building a network and providing excellent customer service is so important to me, so if I can ever help with the above, please do reach out!
I am a Talent Consultant within the planet division of Hurren & Hope. I work alongside some hugely exciting and established organisations who are creating meaningful change within the Sustainability/Net Zero space. This industry is moving incredibly fast and new opportunities are being created all the time. All my clients are working to make our world a better place for generations to come and I am passionate about ensuring skilled individuals have the chance to be a part of this.
Before recruitment, my background is within Customer Service. I worked as a part of the senior team within a market leading business in the Horticultural industry. My approach is to be completely transparent in conversations with Clients & Candidates. Trust is vitally important when discussing a new opportunity or sourcing exciting, talented individuals for your business.
In my spare time, you will find me making memories with my family and friends or taking our French Bulldog for a stroll. Every now and again, I like to grab my DJ Decks and spin some dance music tunes for local bars. This is a great way to release some endorphins and get to know people!
I am keen to deliver a five-star service throughout the entire recruitment cycle where your motivations are my highest priority. I am always open to connecting with people and widening my network. If you are looking for a new role within the space I love, please never hesitate to get in touch. Let’s get to know each other and talk about you!
In 2015, whilst completing my A-Levels, I worked as a Personal Shopper where I had early morning starts collecting and packing online orders for customers, whilst also providing support to customers within the store. This role helped me grow as an individual and helped me realise my passion… Making a difference. From here, I went into hotel reservations and in 2019, I found my passion within recruitment.
When I am not in the H&H office, I am usually curled up on the sofa with a blanket, a cup of tea and a good book – even when it’s 30 degrees outside! I also like to spend my weekends going on road trips to exploring and camp.
At Hurren & Hope, I support the team with the day-to-day operations including training and system implementation as well as organising events.
I have spent most of my professional career in sales and business development working in various industries; insurance, telecommunications, business supplies, etc. What I enjoyed the most about being in business development was the people element; building relationships, making friends, and doing that extra bit to make my customers happy.
In my next position, I wanted the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives and Hurren & Hope have given me the opportunity to do just that. As a Talent Analyst, my responsibility to you is to fully understand your drivers from a work perspective and how those drivers affect your wider life – to build a relationship with you and do all that I can to find your perfect role.
Outside of work, I love all things Eurovision, playing chess, and writing music.
I am a Managing Consultant within the Fintech division at Hurren & Hope. I work with a variety of start-ups, scale-ups and established organisations within this ever-changing field. I began my recruitment career back in 2005, spending a year as a generalist recruiter before specialising in Information Technology. I spent the next 15 years sourcing Development & Technical Teams for a variety of industries, before focusing purely on FinTech.
I use my market knowledge to develop a network of active and passive candidates. This ensures that companies are never held back, or see progress hampered by the scarcity of the right skill sets.
My approach is both honest and open, forging relationships built on trust. I am fully aware that finding a new job or sourcing a new team member can be a challenging process. I am committed to providing a positive, stress-free experience to everyone I work with. Regardless of working on junior or senior appointments, I strive to offer candidates and clients the same exceptional experience. This has resulted in me gaining ongoing repeat business and client / candidate referrals.
Outside of work, you will find me spending time with my wife and son, as well as tending to our three pygmy goats.
Having grown up in Suffolk and living on farms as well as having a family involved in agriculture, I have been interested in the sector for quite a while. I took my chances and moved to London after school, studying fashion and falling into a career in recruitment!
I have been in the industry for over 10 years, starting in luxury retail managing the Selfridges account running a large-scale temp desk. I moved into advertising, marketing and digital creative before moving back to Suffolk and running a successful admin temp desk for the local market. Mixed in with this experience, I have worked in agricultural research for about 4 years. Now, having the opportunity to merge the two, I have been building the Agritech division of Hurren & Hope since the end of last year.
It’s been a great opportunity to get involved in the industry in a time where we are transitioning so much and becoming more aware of social and environmental impact. The agricultural sector is ever-changing, and with the number of start-ups and entrepreneurial talent coming through, it’s an interesting time to be speaking with candidates and clients.
As a consultancy, we are focused on partnering with universities and colleges to help guide young talent into the workplace and we’re keen to work with people from all backgrounds, whether they are re-training or using a transferrable skillset.
The Agritech division focuses on practical farming roles, from graduates and assistant managers upwards – as well as consultancy, sales, R&D, agronomy, livestock health, manufacturing and engineering.
My mission (which I choose to accept!) is to create an environment within H&H that is about supporting, listening, and growing the people who rock up every day to put a shift in. If the team aren’t firing on all cylinders, then it’s up to us to make sure we know why and help them reach their full potential.
I coach the team on both their personal and professional growth, whilst working alongside the executive team on the company’s goals & strategies.
Over my 30 years of working within career development, I have been in a fortunate position to work with a diverse array of clients, which include the BBC, MOD, farm estates and breweries. I am passionate in my belief that knowledge is only good when shared as wisdom. My goal is to share as much wisdom as I can to help change the way we work and think for better outcomes.
My values are Empathy, Trust, Respectfulness and Collaboration. When I’m not working, you’ll find me strolling the Suffolk coastline with my husband and Nelly the cavapoo – there’s no place I’d rather be.
I have been extremely fortunate in my career to engage with some truly inspirational individuals, both in the form of employers and individuals. One of the things that is evident throughout my career is we can all achieve more with the right people around us. I’m not ashamed to admit that I love the complexities of people – their motivations, fears, and values – the very things that make us individual yet in many ways, not so different from each other. I have made it my goal to try and understand those complexities, to provide clarity where needed, and advice and support when asked.
I founded Hurren & Hope as I believed the recruitment sector was losing its focus on the very thing that sustains it… people! I wanted to bring together a team of ethical Talent Consultants, train them continuously to perfect their knowledge of the marketplace – focusing on psychology, behavioural science, and emotional intelligence – to ensure they offer clear, genuine consultative advice. All within a consultancy-focused environment that enables them to provide the best service to employers and candidates – starting with the people in the process.
The end result is we are all stronger and more successful together. That’s all of us – the hiring manager, the prospective employee, the internal talent department / HR, and my team – everyone!
It has to be a symbiotic relationship for us all to prosper.
